Today’s Run Club Partner Spotlight features a community built on something deeper than kilometres and finish lines. 3F Striders, founded in 2014, began as a small group of Christian runners united by faith, fellowship, and a shared passion for movement. What started as Victorious Runners has grown into a global-minded community where running becomes a platform for connection, encouragement, and life transformation.

In this interview, the 3F Striders leadership shares how their club blends performance with purpose, why faith and family shape every session, and how their culture creates a home for runners of all backgrounds and abilities. Their story is a powerful reminder that running can be a physical journey, a spiritual journey, and a community journey all at once.

Let’s get to know the heart behind 3F Striders.

Tell us a bit about your club – when did it start and what inspired its creation?

We started the club in 2014 as a group of Christian runners with a desire to share the Good News through running and triathlon. We first called ourselves Victorious Runners, and on April 1, 2014, we evolved into what is now known as 3F Striders, where we began casting our vision and mission more intentionally.

What makes your run club unique?

The concept of our club is unique because it’s about more than just running it’s about life transformation. Through fellowship, encouragement, and a shared passion for faith and fitness, we aim to inspire personal growth, strengthen spiritual foundations, and positively impact the lives of those around us.

How would you describe your community in three words?

Faith, Family, Fun

What’s a typical run session like with your club?

Like any other club, we train as hard as we can—doing intervals, tempo runs, and everything in between. However, what sets us apart comes after the workout. We gather for a huddle to encourage one another, share the Good News, and pray together.

How many members do you currently have, and what distances or types of running do you focus on?

We used to keep track of our membership numbers, but because people naturally come and go, we eventually stopped monitoring the count. Instead, we simply welcome anyone who wishes to be part of the club and embrace the culture we’ve built. We cater to all running distances as well as all triathlon distances.

What does the running community in your city mean to you?

Dubai is very supportive of its running communities. Over the years, we’ve seen how these groups have grown and impacted people’s lives. We’re grateful for the free park running tracks available to everyone, and for the ability to run freely around the city without worrying about safety.

How has your club helped bring runners together – especially new or first-time runners?

In every session, we organize different pace groups to ensure that our faster runners are challenged while our newer members receive the support they need. We also teach the fundamentals of running, along with proper running etiquette.

Do you have any special traditions, post-run rituals or memorable community events?

As we mentioned earlier, we always include an encouragement segment after our run sessions. We celebrate each person’s wins and appreciate them simply for showing up. We do our best to make every gathering meaningful and worth remembering.

What role do you think running plays in building a stronger, healthier local community?

Running brings people together. In running, there is no rich or poor, no nationality that separates us – everyone is equal, simply running side by side.

How do you encourage inclusivity within your club – from beginners to seasoned athletes?

As mentioned earlier, we make sure our faster runners are encouraged and challenged, while our slower runners receive the support they need. There are no boundaries – everyone is welcome in the club.

What motivates your members to keep showing up and running – even on the tough days?

Our community leaders and members are encouraged to check in on one another whenever they notice someone struggling or missing out. We strive to make sure everyone feels they have a home away from home.

What’s been one of your proudest moments as a club?

We are proud to have remained active and thriving for almost 12 years, despite the challenges brought by the pandemic. We continue to stay united and strong – thanks be to God.

Do you have a favourite local race or route in the UAE?

We run wherever we can and actively support local race organizers.

How do you think events like The Run Show can help strengthen the running community in the UAE?

I believe Run Show can help amplify our club’s mission and connect us with like-minded running groups so we can support one another and the wider community.

What advice would you give to someone thinking of joining a run club for the first time?

To all beginners and solo runners, make sure to join a running community that aligns with your values and helps you grow into a better person – inside and out. There is so much more to running, which is why it serves as a powerful metaphor for life. We don’t run aimlessly or simply to become strong – we run for those who can’t, and to inspire others along the way.

How do you see running culture evolving in the UAE over the next few years?

Running is becoming increasingly popular these days, and I believe it will continue to grow in the years ahead. As more people discover the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of running, communities will strengthen, connections will deepen, and more lives will be positively transformed through the sport.

What’s next for your club – any big goals, events or collaborations on the horizon?

We are aiming for global reach in the coming years. We already have 3F Striders in the Philippines, as well as members in different parts of the world who continue to carry the 3F Striders culture wherever they go. Our goal is to spread this spirit and become a positive, contagious influence in every nation we encounter.

Speaking with 3F Striders highlights what makes them truly unique – a community where encouragement is intentional, support is constant, and running serves as a path toward stronger bodies, stronger faith, and stronger relationships. Their commitment to welcoming all runners, celebrating every win, and uplifting one another reflects the true spirit of community sport.

As they continue to grow locally and globally, 3F Striders remains focused on inspiring transformation wherever they go. We are proud to have them as a Run Show partner and part of the wider UAE running family.
